Update 8/1/21: Twitch streaming is back on! Tune in on Sundays at 6 PM Central Time to hang out!

Update 6/2/21: Twitch streaming is currently on hold but stay tuned to my social media in the coming days for a new schedule!

Hey friends! First, I just want to say that the reaction to my last post was… WOW! So many people reached out to me personally and on my socials to voice their support and seeing that just made me… well… cry honestly. You all are wonderful. And, just as an update, the legal article I mentioned that I wrote about disability marriage equality got turned in yesterday!

And now onto the announcement. For a while now I have been talking about starting a YouTube channel (which is in progress!). In the meantime I have been playing video games to unwind and figured it would be fun to start streaming on Twitch! So starting tomorrow, March 3, I will be streaming on Wednesday nights from 6 PM to 10 PM CST. That is the only day I have set aside starting out but if people like it and want me to do it more often, I can try! And if you can’t make it on Wednesday nights, you can always look at my channel and watch the streams afterwards (although that might not be as fun).

You can access the stream in a few ways:

• You can follow me on Twitch.tv (my user name is TheGirlWhoSits if you want to search for me, but that link goes to the channel) and you’ll be notified when I go live
  • There won’t be anything exciting there until my first stream, but you can still click on it to follow me
• You can follow my Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to be notified when I go live
• On this blog, if you look at the menu up top, there is a new option called “My Twitch Channel” (the 4th slot over) and if you click on it, you will be taken to the channel page

I am so looking forward to this! Tomorrow night I will be playing the first chapter of Life is Strange, a game that is a ton of fun to play, especially with interaction from my audience! One thing that makes this game unique is that the choices you make as a character dramatically impact the rest of the game and the ending. That means I need you to help me make decisions and help create the outcome for our main character! The game is very story-based and has a lot of open-world aspects that make it fun to investigate what is going on in the town! Plus the art in it is really beautiful. Here is where you can learn more about the story and the mechanics of the game itself (but if you click that link, you’ll get some spoilers under the “Story” heading; just skip past that part if you don’t want to be spoiled).
